For this new version, Software Informer has taken a small step back to make a giant leap forward. It has recovered the more compact and smaller interface that we all knew and loved without compromising any of its many features and functions. All the updates for your apps and drivers, all the free programs, recommendations, and reviews are still there – they just take less space on your desktop now.

When idle, Software Informer is constantly in the lookout for the latest updates available for all the apps and drivers installed on your computer, to make sure that you are permanently in the know about all the newest versions of your favorite programs. You are then free to download and install them or not. All this happens in the Apps section of the new interface. In the other section available, the Discover section, you will find links to recommended software tools, Trending Apps (with some of the newer and more successful programs available), and the giveaways of the day, where you can have access to paid apps for free during a limited period of time or until the available number of free licenses run out. You can customize the Discover list of programs by toggling on and off each of these sub-sections using the trendy and colorful icons provided.

Technically, this sums up what Software Informer – the app – does, but actually, there is much more to it than what you can do with its new compact interface. Software Informer is also a comprehensive software library that gives service to more than 5 million users and shares with them (and you) useful information about nearly 4 million apps. The previous interface design was expanded to include random reviews and recommendations, a feature that is no longer possible in this brand new compact design. However, you can still reach this comprehensive library just by clicking on the links provided for each app in the program’s interface. This will take you to the page of that specific app, and from there you can start navigating and thus discover Software Informer’s true value.

This added value refers to the millions of reviews – including nearly 75,000 video reviews and tutorials – that the program makes available through its website. Thus, Software Informer is also a place where you can go to learn more about your favorite software tools, about new apps, and about those that will be available soon, and to ask questions and get personal answers to your doubts and worries.
